Eco Friendly, Efficiency and Service are key Firebird Drivers for Domestic & Commercial Heating

Renewable energy technology and tailored solutions have become the key requirements of customers when choosing and upgrading their home heating systems.

Firebird is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of heating solutions for the commercial and domestic market, renowned for its innovative and eco-friendly products.

The Firebird team of experts work hand-in-hand with customers, working to varying levels of complexity, to develop bespoke heating solutions packages to heat their homes.

According to Gary Davies, Firebird National Sales Manager, the needs of customers and the expectations of installers have evolved dramatically. Efficiency is a key driver, not only in terms of the environment but also in terms of service and installation time.

“Without a doubt, there is an increasing demand for green energy heating systems and customers’ requirements are greatly influenced by environmental responsibility and performance,” Gary stated.

“For Firebird installers, the focus is on quality, service and ease of installation.”

One such example is a private housing estate in East Anglia in which Firebird developed and delivered individually tailored, environmentally friendly heating packages for the properties.

“Working off the architect’s drawings, the Firebird in-house design team of engineers worked with the installer to create a complete and bespoke package to meet the required applications,” Gary explained.

“One of the key requirements was for a non-fossil fuel burning product and as renewable energy is our expertise, we delivered the perfect zero-emissions package. It included the Firebird Enviroair air source heat pump and Firebird underfloor heating as well as the Firebird Quick Plumb Cylinder unit. With an output from 4.5kW to 16kW, the unit is increasingly popular with installers as it is pre-plumbed, pre-wired, boasts built-in zoned valves and a mirror box for ease of installation. It’s an ideal solution for the installer as it reduces their labour time on site by as much as 75%.

“Our engineer partnered with installer Paul Barford, a long-time and loyal customer who chose to work with Firebird because of the customer service, in-house expertise and quality of product he knows we deliver. Our engineers are always on hand to provide technical support either over the phone or on site.”

Paul Barford of Barford Heating Ltd in Great Yarmouth, East Anglia explained how beneficial it was for the new build project to have the entire heating solutions designed by Firebird.

“For new build projects such as the private housing development, a renewable and tailored package was a must,” he explained.

“For me it was really important in terms of time and service, to have a one stop shop with Firebird rather than dealing with different providers. I was looking for expertise and efficiency in terms of service and labour.

“I’ve worked with Firebird for many years, so they were a natural choice to partner with when this project came up. I knew that, given their expertise, they would handle the design, sourcing of material and support – I’d have good back up and I knew they would be there to put me right throughout the project which is an added-value that Firebird offers and what I like most.”
