The Latest Boiler Upgrade Scheme will see Households able to Apply for £5,000 Grant to Replace Gas Boilers

The government announced that the £450m Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which is part of the more than £3.9bn funding to cut carbon from heating and buildings, will be used to help it reach its target for all new heating system installations to be low carbon by 2035. The new boiler upgrade scheme comes at a time where we are closely looking at our dependency on fossil fuels.

Ministers have stated that switching to low carbon heating systems will cut emissions and reduce the UK’s carbon footprint, as well as its exposure to global price spikes in gas. This new scheme will encourage homeowners to install low carbon heating systems including heat, which are run on electricity and extract energy from the air or ground.

This is great news for Firebird as we push for the wide use of renewable energy sources to prolong our environment and make our heating systems sustainable for the future.

If you would like to speak to a member of our technical team to discuss the new boiler scheme implemented by the Government, we would be delighted to take you through our different options.
