Firebird Launch New Solar Thermal Brochure
Firebird have launched a new Solar Thermal brochure which provides a comprehensive guide to their Envirosol range of flat panel and heat pipe systems. Aimed at both the professional and homeowner, the new brochure contains detailed product information, design considerations and a handy guide which explores the suitability of a property for the installation of a solar thermal system. Ideal for both newbuild and refurbishment projects, Envirosol solar thermal systems offer a number of in-roof and on-roof fixing options for both pitched and flat roofs. The MCS approved range not only provides a low maintenance option to reduce energy bills, but additionally allows the homeowner to take advantage of the Governments’ domestic Renewable Heat Incentive payments.
An Envirosol Solar thermal system is capable of providing up to 60% of a properties annual domestic hot water requirements and is the easiest renewable technology to integrate with an existing heating system. Creating this type of hybrid heating system allows the solar thermal system to work independently if there is sufficient solar gain, but then has the flexibility to work in conjunction with another heat source when solar gain is reduced.
Similarly in new build applications an Envirosol solar thermal system can be installed in conjunction with a Firebird boiler or Air Source Heat Pump; providing a cost-effective water heating option that maximises the use of renewable energy. Furthermore an Envirosol solar thermal system can also be used to make a contribution towards the space heating of a property via an underfloor heating system.
